Annual FallSwim Clinic
Our season kicks off in September with our Annual Fall Swim Clinic. While attendance is optional, it is highly encouraged especially for our younger athletes. The clinic allows our coaches to assess skills, begin the conditioning process, and get to know the swimmers.
Eligibility & Divisions:
The team competes against other CYO swim teams. All age groups are determined by a December 1st cutoff date.
- Minimum Age: 6 years old (as of Dec 1st)
- Maximum Age: Entering senior year of high school
- Competitive Divisions (Boys & Girls): 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 14 & Under, and 17 & Under
Training & Pool Safety:
Our primary goal is to effectively teach and coach all four competitive swim strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly.
- Safe Environment: Greiss Park Pool provides a friendly setting, particularly for young swimmers, with a maximum depth of only 5 feet.
- Hands-on Coaching: Our coaches spend a significant amount of time directly in the pool providing instruction and assistance.
- Professional Supervision: A certified lifeguard is on duty at the pool at all times.
Parent Information & Volunteering:
- Mandatory Parent Meeting: A meeting will be held before the fall clinic begins. It is vital that you plan to attend, even if your child is not participating in the clinic sessions.
- During Practice: Parents are warmly encouraged to stay at the pool during their child’s sessions.
- Communication: Throughout the season, you will receive important team updates via email. Please check your inbox regularly. If you or another registered family are missing emails, notify us immediately so we can update our roster.
- Volunteer Opportunities: Our program relies on our community! We currently have positions open on our coaching staff and in other operational roles. Please consider volunteering.
